Rationale

Libraries serve a crucial role in the development of children, enhancing their self-awareness and understanding of the world around them. By doing so, they empower young individuals to actively engage in their communities and contribute to initiatives focused on well-being and climate action. Libraries are not merely repositories of books; they cultivate a lifelong love of reading and learning, providing a dynamic environment filled with diverse materials and activities designed to support both educational and personal growth.

Through our previous engagements with school-aged children, we have consistently observed their keen interest and curiosity in exploring concepts beyond the traditional classroom curriculum. At Kelir, we envision libraries as vital spaces that can nurture these interests, offering a wide range of resources and interactive pathways that inspire exploration and creativity.

Regrettably, the current landscape reveals a scarcity of active, accessible, and reliable libraries dedicated specifically to children. Many existing facilities struggle with resource limitations, and those that are available often do not offer affordable services for families. In light of this, our initiative seeks to bridge this gap, ensuring that all children have the chance to explore their interests and deepen their understanding of the world through the enriching experience of a well-equipped library. We are committed to creating connections with children and their communities to foster a supportive environment rich in resources and opportunities for learning and growth.
